Fruit & Yogurt Parfait

A French dessert, in the U.S. parfait also refers to a dish layering yogurt and fruit together. The tangy yogurt and seasonal fruits combine to make a tasty breakfast or snack that kids can make all by themselves.

Ingredients:

½ lb fresh OR frozen fruits (peaches, nectarines, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, plums)

16 oz plain Greek yogurt

1-2 Tbsp honey OR maple syrup

½ – 1 cup Homemade Granola

Equipment:

Measuring cups and spoons
Kitchen knife
Cutting board
Bowls OR jars

Ingredients:

½ lb fresh OR frozen fruits (peaches, nectarines, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, plums)

16 oz plain Greek yogurt

1-2 Tbsp honey OR maple syrup

½ – 1 cup Homemade Granola

Directions:

  1. Gather all the ingredients and equipment. Wash the fruit and prepare it by trimming any strawberry tops, removing peach, nectarine, or plum pits, and dicing any large fruit into smaller pieces.
  2. Mix yogurt and honey to reach desired sweetness.
  3. In bowls or jars, add some of the fruit and then add a layer of yogurt on top. Repeat with the rest of the fruit and yogurt, then sprinkle the granola on top.
