Director of Finance & Operations
FRESHFARM is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as the Director of Finance & Operations! The Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day finances, internal operations, & strategic decision-making. This position will work closely with the Executive Director (“ED”) and the Board of Directors to ensure that financial and internal operations are secure and sustainable and that the organization’s commitment to equity and transparency is embedded in all finance, administrative, & operational functions. This self-directed leader will also lead & develop their team to build capacity and support the growth & improvement of FRESHFARM’s programming.

Grain Stand Specialist
Join the FRESHFARM team in partnership with Common Grain Alliance to launch our new farmers market Grain Stands! Our cooperative Grain Stand model, piloted by our Pop-Up Food Hub team, brings more local grains to customers and helps sustain the businesses of farmers, millers, bakers, and grain artisans in the Mid-Atlantic region. If you’re a creative and flexible problem solver who enjoys working on a team, spending time outdoors, and promoting regional, accessible, fresh food, this is the role for you! Grain Stand Specialists serve as at-market ambassadors for grain vendors’ businesses and engage with customers to promote their products and facilitate sales.

Farm Stand Manager at the Anacostia Community Museum

FoodCorps Service Member – FoodPrints (Full-Time)
FoodPrints is seeking aspiring food educators to join our team! As a host site for FoodCorps, FoodPrints is searching for a Service Member who, through mentorship, in-school experience, and professional development, wants to further their career as a food educator. As an assistant in our FoodPrints classrooms, service members make positive changes in what children and their families eat by supporting hands-on experiences growing, harvesting, cooking, and eating nutritious, local food. If you have experience working with youth, are comfortable working as part of a team, and are motivated, responsible, and passionate about cooking and gardening, this is the role for you!

CentroNía Farmers Market Volunteer
CentroNía is hiring a Farmers Market Volunteer to join us at the FRESHFARM Columbia Heights Market from July 1st through August 19th, Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. As a Market Volunteer, you will work with the FRESHFARM Team to provide support for CentroNía’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at the Columbia Heights Market. A stipend of $100 per week will be provided.

Welle Made Co. – Farmers Market Manager
The Welle Made Co. is looking for an outgoing, passionate, and driven farmers market manager to manage their farmers market booth in Silver Spring, MD, each week (Saturdays, 9am – 1pm) and provide exceptional customer service to consumers.
