Development Operations Manager

FRESHFARM is hiring a Development Operations Manager! This team member will manage and execute essential development operations including: database management, data analysis and reporting, donor communication and engagement activities, and administrative support for overall fundraising efforts. If you are fluent with database use and management, proficient in Google Suite (or a similar software), and excited to learn and dig into new technology solutions, this is the role for you! As a member of FRESHFARM’s development team, this Manager will play a critical role in raising the funds that support our dynamic programming and our diverse and growing team. School Farm Stand Operator – Simon Elementary (Thursdays)

Want to help FRESHFARM pioneer solutions to connect school communities with food access? Apply to be an Operator at our Simon Elementary Farm Stand! Our Farm Stands are small outdoor markets that serve as points of access for fresh, healthy produce for local communities. Market Operators are responsible for setting up and operating the weekly Farm Stand and facilitating community engagement and promotion. Our ideal Operator comes from the local community and is excited to provide services that effectively meet the needs of local customers. Pop-Up Food Hub Operations & Procurement Associate (part-time)

Get ready to get down and dirty with the food system! FRESHFARM’s Pop-Up Food Hub (PUFH) is a nonprofit food hub and food distributor with two key missions: (1) to support small- and mid-sized local farmers in the Mid-Atlantic region, especially Black and Brown farmers and (2) to nourish our community, and especially those who struggle with food security, by providing them with accessible, fresh, local produce. We are hiring a part-time Operations and Procurement Associate to fulfill and manage orders and deliveries to program partners and to our very own FoodPrints program, by procuring produce at market, distributing orders in organizational vehicles, assisting with all at-market operations of the food hub, and managing the equipment used by the PUFH.  This role will be a great fit for someone who is a collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented problem solver excited to get their hands dirty. Grain Stand Specialists & Substitutes (Weekends; Columbia Heights, DC & Hyattsville, MD)

Our cooperative Grain Stand model, piloted by our Pop-Up Food Hub team, brings more local grains to customers and helps sustain the businesses of farmers, millers, bakers, and grain artisans in the Mid-Atlantic region. If you’re a creative and flexible problem solver who enjoys working on a team, spending time outdoors, and promoting regional, accessible, fresh food, this is the role for you! Grain Stand Specialists (GSS) serve as at-market ambassadors for grain vendors’ businesses and engage with customers to promote their products and facilitate sales. Farmers Market Substitute Staff (DC, MD, and VA)

FRESHFARM is seeking lovers of local food to join our team as Substitute Market Staff! If you’re a creative and flexible problem solver who enjoys working on a team, spending time outdoors, and promoting regional, accessible, fresh food – this is the role for you. Market Staff are responsible for executing market operations, interfacing with stakeholders, and creating a vibrant and friendly market. Substitutes fill posts as-needed and available at any of our 20+ markets. We are especially in need of substitutes with Saturday availability for the 2024 Main Season; however, markets run on weekdays and weekends throughout DC, MD, and VA. FoodPrints Classroom Assistants (Fall and/or Spring Semester, SY 24-25)

Interested in growing your food education skills? FoodPrints is looking for interns, volunteers, and/or Federal Work Study students to join our program as Classroom Assistants! FoodPrints Classroom Assistants work directly with FoodPrints Lead Teachers to facilitate preschool – 5th grade classes that provide hands-on experiences for local students to grow, harvest, cook, and eat nutritious, fresh, local, and seasonal food. We are currently seeking Classroom Assistants to support the work of the FoodPrints program at one or more partner schools in Washington, DC during the Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 semester. Roggenart – Sales/Customer Service Representative

Roggenart seeks a sales representative to receive product, setup tent/tables and pastries, and sell at markets! Available shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 1pm.
