Fresh, Local Produce for Your Community

The FRESHFARM Food Hub aggregates and delivers locally grown produce from small and mid-sized farmers directly to food access partners across the Washington, DC region so the people you serve have access to the fresh, healthy food they need to thrive.
We work with early childcare centers, health clinics, schools, senior centers, and other community organizations. Twenty percent of the farmers we source from identify as farmers of color, and 29% are first-generation farmers.
Why partner with us?
- We’re your partner, not just a vendor. We work with you to select the right produce based on your budget, your clients’ needs, and what’s available. Buying for seniors who can’t carry a watermelon? Sourcing first foods for infants? We’ve got you.
- Your dollars go further. Mission-driven nonprofits whose work addresses food insecurity or improves access to fresh, local food are eligible for our community rate: wholesale pricing and no minimum order. Every dollar goes directly back to the farmers who grew your food.
- You’re getting fresher, tastier produce. Most of what we offer is picked within days of delivery. Fewer hands, fewer miles, and no sitting on a truck to ripen — just better food that’s better for the community you serve and the environment.
How It Works
Food access partners can work with us in two ways:
- Bulk Orders: Order local produce in whatever quantity works for your budget — there’s no minimum order size. Bulk orders are a great fit for meal preparation, food pantries, special events, or hosting your own farm stand for your community.
- Pre-Packed Bags: We offer pre-packed bags of seasonal, local produce delivered directly to your site. A great option if you’d like to distribute bags of local produce to community members, patients, churchgoers, or volunteers.
