You may make a bequest to FRESHFARM by preparing a new will or adding a codicil to your current will. The most useful bequest is an unrestricted bequest for the general purposes of FRESHFARM. This permits FRESHFARM to use your gift wherever it is most needed at the time.
If you have already provided for FRESHFARM in your estate planning, please take a moment to help us maximize the impact of your generosity by contacting us at giving@freshfarm.org to provide important details of your intended future gift. We’d also love to thank you!
Suggested language for making an unrestricted bequest:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to FRESHFARM Markets, Inc., a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the District of Columbia, or its successors, [the sum of $_________ (for a specific dollar amount) OR all of my right, title and interest to the following described property:______________ (for personal or real property) OR _____ % of my total estate, determined as of the date of my death (for a percentage bequest) OR all or ___ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate (for a residual bequest)], for FRESHFARM Markets, Inc.’s or its successors general use and purposes.”
