Joy Time Food makes high-quality Chinese food cooked fresh on site at farmers markets—something not often found in a farmers market setting. Their menu focuses on a small number of Chinese-style comfort dishes, including Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, and richly braised chicken legs. All of their chicken dishes are made with Halal chicken. They keep things simple and consistent, using clean ingredients with no added MSG and paying close attention to cooking technique and flavor. Seasonal or special items may appear throughout the market season.

All of their food is cooked in small batches from scratch. In addition to their chicken dishes, they offer handcrafted Halal beef buns made with organic flour and organic oat bran, along with a limited selection of pork buns, all steamed hot throughout the day.

Alongside their savory dishes, they also make a small selection of baked goods and traditional desserts, such as oatmeal cookies and palace-style crispy cookies. Their baked items are made using thoughtfully selected ingredients, including organic flour and organic oatmeal.
