Since 1997, FRESHFARM has worked to build a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system in the Mid-Atlantic region. With your support, at FRESHFARM we’re creating greater food access, stronger local economies, and healthier communities through:
- Farmers Markets: Our network of farmers markets and farm stands across DC, Maryland, and Virginia creates economic opportunity for local growers and brings fresh food to neighborhoods throughout the region.
- Food Access: We connect underserved communities with local foods grown by regional farmers, ensuring that fresh and local foods are accessible to all.
- Food Distribution: Through our Food Hub, we connect small and mid-sized farmers with wholesale buyers and nonprofit partners who help nourish neighbors facing food insecurity.
- Food Education: We bring hands-on food and garden education to DC public schools and Early Childcare Centers, inspiring young learners to grow, cook, and choose healthy foods for life.
