The FRESHFARM Ballston Market Now Open Year-Round
Arlington community gains four-season access to fresh, local food
Arlington, VA — FRESHFARM and the Ballston BID are thrilled to announce that the FRESHFARM Ballston Market will now operate year-round, providing residents and visitors with continued access to locally grown produce and goods even through the winter months.
Located at Welburn Square (901 N Taylor St) just steps from the Ballston Metro, the market is a cherished community hub, and now it will welcome shoppers in all four seasons. The market features a lineup of 20 regular and rotating farmers and producers, and shoppers can enjoy nearly everything needed for a complete grocery shop, from hearty winter squash and leafy greens to eggs, meats, pantry staples, and prepared foods, while supporting regional farmers and producers year-round. Operating on Thursday evenings, the Ballston market will now offer shoppers an opportunity for a mid-week shop all year long.

The FRESHFARM Ballston Market will remain open on Thursdays year-round. From December through March, the market will operate from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During the warmer months, April through November, hours will be 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The FRESHFARM Ballston Market winter season kicks off on Thursday, December 4 with the final Mega Market of the year. Shoppers who spend $10 at the market will receive a free drink ticket to use at the beer and wine garden sponsored by the Ballston BID, while supplies last. Attendees will also receive a $5 market coupon from FRESHFARM, redeemable with any farmer or producer at the Ballston market from January to March 2026.
