Tree Lane Stock Farms
miles to DC
Tree Lane Stock Farms consists of 120 acres of grassland 10 miles north of Gettysburg PA. Their livestock include 30 head of Standardbred horses which they breed and race and 50 head of Red Baldy cattle. They practice regenerative grazing with both the cattle and horses. Although they are not certified organic, they have not used any herbicides or chemical fertilizers since 1997. It is a complete no-till farm as pastures are renewed by inter-seeding into existing growth. To complement the forages grown they have 22 beehives on the farms.
From the start, Tree Lane Stock Farms has focused on developing a herd of Red Baldy cattle. Red Baldy cattle are a combination of two distinct breeds: Red Angus (for their meat quality) and Hereford (for their mothering ability). Pasture raised without the introduction of growth hormones or feed treated with synthetic chemicals, Tree Lane Stock Farms offers pasture raised beef you can eat with confidence.
