Puddin’ got its start in 2010 at DC’s historic Eastern Market. Since then, Puddin’ has blossomed into a local favorite with storefronts at Union Market, various local markets, and two food trucks. Toyin Alli, the owner and chef of Puddin’, specializes in divine comfort food including chicken ‘n beef sausage gumbo, shrimp ‘n grits, etouffee, red beans ‘n rice, shrimp, Rappahannock oyster and wild blue catfish po’boys and of course, her signature dish and the company’s namesake, Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Puddin’. Puddin’ serves local, sustainable and great tasting Wild Blue Catfish from the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
